And here is a list of topics that they can do tutorials on Khan Academy. 8th grade solving one step equations, solving two-step equations, Pythagorean theorem, adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators, solving for percents; percent of a number, taxes & discounts. Solve Real World problems using the Problem Solving Method.
Your child can check Google Classroom for announcements and find this list and other assignments for the break! Check out the parent portal or student portal and find out what make-up work you child may do. You'd be surprised how much grace is extended over the holiday season.

Due 12/1/17 ELA 10 sentences for 10 prepositions. Focus on the list of prepositions and circle all of the prepositions in each of the ten sentences. Think about how prepositions can be used to help you know the action that may lead to the location, origin, and other places your noun or pronoun may be going. Next find the prepositional phrase. Field Trip 12/22/17 to the Museum of Contemporary Art in downtown chicago. Time: 9:20 am to 12:00 pm
The MCA is located at 220 E. Chicago Avenue. We will be using Alltown Bus Service. IMPORTANT: All field trip slips need to be signed and turned in no later than December 1st. No exceptions. There is no need for bringing a lunch. The museum will provide tour guides.
